According to preliminary estimates, in addition to this supermarket, 4 private homes, 9 stores, a car wash, Novaya Pochta, retail pavilions and 12 cars were damaged. Later, Russian occupiers carried out a second attack on the private sector of Konstantinovka in Donetsk Oblast. Two civilians were wounded as a result of the attack.

Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely repel the enemy’s attempts to advance deep into our territory, inflicting effective fire defeat on him. On August 9, Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters.

According to the President, the discussion focused, in particular, on the situation at the front and with air defense.

“First of all, we heard the report of Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky regarding the situation in all key areas: the south, Kurakhovo, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Vremen Yar, Luhansk and Kharkiv regions. And regarding our defensive actions in the areas from which Russia launched strikes on Ukrainian territory,” Zelensky noted.

By the decision of the Headquarters, according to the head of state, a plan of subsequent actions was approved to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense system to protect people, critical infrastructure and military facilities.

According to the GUR, they managed to destroy six units of armored vehicles and eliminate about 30 invaders. The landing operation was carried out by the units “Khimera”, “Aratta”, “Stugna”, “Paragon”, “Siberian Battalion”, “Terror” as part of the special unit Timur GUR with the support of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and in cooperation with other components of the Security and Defense Forces.
