In his evening address on August 10, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the preparation of a decision that will “strengthen our Ukrainian spiritual independence.”

“I only held a preparatory meeting about a decision that will strengthen our Ukrainian spiritual independence. We must deprive Moscow of its last opportunities to infringe on the freedom of Ukrainians. And the solutions for this must be completely effective – actually working. We will provide them,” the president said.

The head of state did not specify what he was talking about, however, judging by the context, the president probably meant a ban on the activities of the UOC (MP). After all, it represents the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine.
