Latvia sets date for “Moscow House” protest

The aggressor's property will be auctioned off, and the proceeds will be used to help Ukraine.

“Moscow” on Marijas Street, which at the beginning of the year passed from the ownership of the aggressor country to the state ownership of Latvia. The building will soon go under the hammer.

According to the Delfi publication, the 966 square meter plot of land together with the building was valued at 3.57 million euros – this will be the starting price at the auction, which will begin on August 20 and will continue until September 19.

Those wishing to participate in the auction must deposit 10% of the starting price of the house into the account of the state bank by September 9. After winning the auction, the author of the highest offer must make the payment within 2 weeks. The funds will be transferred to the state budget, from where they will subsequently go to help Ukraine, as promised by the Latvian authorities.
