After the ban of the Russian church in Ukraine, Zelensky held a conversation with the Ecumenical Patriarch Patriarch Bartholomew 

<p>Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation with the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.</p>
<p>According to the head of state, the interlocutors jointly positively assessed the development of cooperation and, in particular, the recent visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the Ecumenical Patriarchate. They also expressed mutual expectations of reciprocity visit.</p>
<p>Zelensky also mentioned the new law that bans the Moscow church in Ukraine.</p>

  • On August 20, the Verkhovna Rada banned the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. The bill was adopted without discussion.
