US to send Ukraine new $125 million aid package

The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive missiles for air defense, ammunition for artillery and equipment for drones.

The Associated Press reported that several American officials, on the basis of anonymity, announced to journalists the provision of a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth $125 million.< /p>

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive missiles for air defense systems and HIMARS systems, Javelin kits and other means of destroying armored targets, means to counter drones and electronic warfare systems, artillery shells of 105 and 155 millimeter calibers, as well as vehicles and other equipment.< /p>

The agency notes that assistance is coming even despite Washington’s attempts to understand the goals and prospects of the Kursk operation of the Defense Forces. The Pentagon says that Ukraine has the right to use American weapons to counter the occupiers in the border areas.

The official announcement of the new aid package is expected on Friday, on the eve of Ukraine’s Independence Day.
