The Polish Ministry of Defense has named the conditions for the transfer of Polish combat aircraft to Ukraine.

This was reported by the Wirtualna Polska portal.

“Today, the attention of the Polish side to our defense capability has somewhat weakened. Perhaps, Poland gave us what it could. However, some things remained in Poland. (…) There are specific questions. We really need your MiGs,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamisz expressed understanding for the Ukrainian president, but emphasized that Poland is making the decision through the prism of its own security.

“Only after receiving the new aircraft will it be possible to dispose of old aircraft in a different way, for example the MiG-29s, which are still in operation, including for missions to protect Polish airspace. Then we will make decisions,” Kosiniak-Kamysh noted.

He specified that the F-35 fighters ordered from the US, the first of which should be transferred to the Polish army no earlier than 2026, and before that, it is planned to train Polish pilots of these aircraft in the US.
