Dariusz Maternyak spoke about this in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine.
According to Maternyak, the transfer of the MiG-29 will strengthen the potential of Zbroinykh forces of Ukraine (ZSU), especially since in Ukraine there are already aircraft of this type, which are designed to carry reentry rounds.
“The main problem lies in the fact that it is still impossible to replace Polish MIG-29s with other combat aircraft with equal capabilities. Whose food is rich in the allies, especially in the United States, which is likely to be the most the feasibility of delivering combat aircraft,” the expert respected.
Maternyak added that if it is possible to ensure the supply of combat aircraft to Poland, for example, F-16s, then Warsaw will be able to transfer its MiGs to Ukraine. Once a conclusive decision is reached, the transfer of the aircraft to Kiev would take a maximum of a few months.

As the expert explained, the MiG-29 pilots who are currently serving in the formed Polish army, until this day (we are talking about the pilots that Warsaw took away even within the hours of the Warsaw Pact and those pilots that were on Armed armies of the German Democratic Republic) are still in existence singing fighting potential.
