There have already been 59 combat encounters in the Pokrovsk direction.
As of 22:00 on August 28, 182 combat clashes have occurred. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to contain the pressure of the occupation forces. The situation in the Pokrovsk direction remains tense – the enemy is concentrating its main offensive efforts there. In addition, the occupiers are actively attacking in the Kupyansk, Kurakhovsky and Toretsk directions today. Also, in certain sections of the front, Ukrainian units carried out active actions to improve their position.

Today, the terrorist state launched two missile strikes with two missiles, 61 air strikes, and dropped 66 KABs. In addition, the invaders used 516 kamikaze drones for strikes and carried out about 3,000 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian terrorists twice unsuccessfully stormed the positions of our units in the Volchansk and Liptsev areas.
The enemy attacked our positions in Kupyansk 23 timesdirection. Near the settlements of Sin'kovka, Kolesnikovka, Stel'makhovka and Kruglyakovka, the units of the Defense Forces repelled 21 attacks. The situation is tense, two combat contacts are ongoing.
In the Liman direction, today Russian troops attacked Ukrainian defenders 13 times in the areas of six different settlements. Near Druzhelyubovka and Novosadove, the largest number of combat contacts occurred, three and four, respectively.
The enemy is trying to force our defenders out of their positions in the Belogorovka and Spornoye areas in the Seversky direction four times with assault actions. The fighting continues.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 11 attempts by the invaders to advance. The enemy concentrated its efforts, with the support of attack aircraft, near Grigorovka, and also, without air support, in the Ivanovskoye and Kleshchievka areas.
In Toretskydirection, where the occupiers attacked our positions 20 times near New York, Nelipovka, Toretskaya and Druzhba – 15 combat contacts have already been completed. Fighting continues near New York and Nelipovka.
The enemy continues to make its main efforts at Pokrovskydirection, here, during these days, the aggressor attacked our positions 59 times. More than half of all combat contacts occurred in the areas of Novogrodovka and Grodovka. According to preliminary estimates, today the occupiers in this direction lost 135 servicemen killed and 177 wounded. Three cars and an armored personnel carrier were destroyed. Also, the Ukrainian defenders inflicted significant damage to two more artillery systems and two cars.
In the Kurakhovske direction, the invaders are also quite active – at present, 30 enemy attacks have been recorded in 24 hours. Half of them are ongoing. Most of the fighting continues near Karlovka. Also, the occupiers are actively trying to advance near Konstantinovka and Georgievka. They will suffer losses.
In the Vremevsky direction today the aggressor stormed the front line of our defense six times in the direction of Ugledar, near Vodyane and Konstantinovka. The fighting continues.
In the Orikhov direction, two assaults by Russian invaders were repelled, not far from Robotino and Novodanilovka.
In the Gulyai-Polye and < b>Prydniprovsk directions, enemy units did not conduct offensive actions.
Today, we recognize the soldiers of the 25th separate airborne Sicheslav brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their effective combat work.
