Man trapped in subway train car in Kyiv

The victim had to be pulled out by the State Emergency Service employees.

On Thursday evening, the capital's subway stopped traffic at the Universitet station. A man born in 2004 fell onto the tracks and was trapped under a train car.

According to the press service of the State Emergency Service, rescuers arrived at the scene of the incident and used entrenching tools to free the victim. The man was handed over to doctors for hospitalization: he was left without a leg below the knee due to traumatic amputation.

KSMA later confirmed the resumption of the red line of the subway in the normal mode. According to the administration, the circumstances of the incident will be investigated by law enforcement agencies.
