Ukraine asked for “two specific decisions” at UN Security Council meeting

The Permanent Representative addressed partner states.

Serhiy Kyslytsya

During the UN Security Council meeting dedicated to the Russian massive shelling of the territory of Ukraine and the Kursk operation, the permanent representative of our state Serhiy Kyslytsya asked the partner countries to make two specific decisions.

As reported by Ukrinform, the first of them is the recognition of Ukraine's right to use all provided weapons to carry out long-range strikes against legitimate military targets on the territory of Russia. And the second is the involvement of the air defense of NATO countries to shoot down missiles and drones attacking Ukrainian civilian infrastructure near their borders.

According to the diplomat, none of these steps “is escalatory”, since they are aimed only at containing Russia, reducing terror and the number of casualties among the civilian population.

Kyslytsya also refuted the lies of the Russian representative about the commission of crimes by the Ukrainian military on the territory of the Kursk region.
