Zelensky met with White House Deputy National Security Adviser

John Finer received information about the progress of the Kursk operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kyiv.

Meeting with the American delegation in Kiev

A delegation headed by Deputy National Security Adviser to the US President John Finer arrived in Kiev on Wednesday.

According to Reuters, the representative of official Washington met with President Volodymyr Zelensky. The topic of conversation was priorities in the war against Russia until the end of Joe Biden's term. The White House called the discussion “productive and substantive.”

In addition to communicating with the head of state, Finer also had a 90-minute meeting with the military leadership of Ukraine, during which they discussed the situation at the front and strategic issues. Separately, they discussed the progress of the Kursk operation of the Armed Forces on the territory of Russia. The American also expressed his thoughts on Ukraine's use of the $50 billion loan approved by the G7 countries under the guarantee of frozen Russian assets.

The White House also announced a meeting between Finer and representatives of the Ukrainian government, during which the parties discussed the protection of the Ukrainian energy system from Russian shelling.
