On Thursday, police officers are conducting investigative actions in the premises of the Chernihiv City Council in a case of illegal allocation of a land plot.

“Authorized searches are being conducted in the premises of the city council, a municipal enterprise, a commercial structure and the residences of its managers. Procedural decisions will be made based on the results of the investigative actions,” the report says.

Acting mayor of Chernigov, secretary of the city council Alexander Lomako regards the actions of law enforcement officers as political pressure aimed at paralyzing the work of the city council. He reported that people with machine guns broke into the city council premises on Thursday.
“It turned out that the security forces broke in with a decree requiring documents from seven years ago for 2017. On this basis, armed people physically blocked the work of the entire city council,” he wrote on Facebook.
Earlier, in September, Lomako said that in the morning “a group of SBU representatives” came to him with searches. According to him, investigative actions will be carried out in his apartment. The search was conducted on the basis of a decision of the Shevchenko Court.
