The newly appointed head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Andriy Sybiga, held his first official telephone conversation with his Polish counterpart, Radoslaw Sikorski.

“This morning I had my first telephone conversation as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine with my Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski to confirm the Ukrainian-Polish strategic partnership and good-neighborly relations,” he noted.

Sybiha added that he thanked Poland for its support and informed it about the situation at the front.

“Ukraine and Poland have a common enemy and a common goal – to keep our bilateral ties strong. As a sign of respect, we held a conversation in Polish. I look forward to the opportunity to congratulate my Polish colleague in Kiev soon,” the Ukrainian minister said.
