MRAP armored vehicles (from the English MRAP, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected – protection against mines and ambushes) have a V-shaped bottom to dissipate the energy of the explosion and special chairs that absorb shock.

They consist of a monolithic armored capsule and external explosion-absorbing units (wheels, chassis, engine), which absorb all the kinetic energy from a mine explosion.

The Roshel Senator armored car is designed on the chassis of an American heavy-duty Ford F-550 pickup truck and was originally intended for the police.

For the needs of Ukraine, the model was improved; it received armor capable of protecting the crew and troops from bullets fired from small arms and debris. Also, the bottom of the car can withstand the explosion of a mine or other explosive device equivalent to 6 kg of TNT. In the front-line configuration, the vehicle also necessarily has a winch and “night” light.
