Russians Kill Rescuer in Donetsk Region (updated)

On September 17, a Ukrainian rescuer was killed in the Donetsk region.

In the morning, a village in the Pokrovsky district came under fire. As a result of this attack, one rescuer was killed.

Updated. According to the State Emergency Service of Donbass, the tragedy occurred while extinguishing a fire in the village of Rivne. Here, Russian occupiers carried out targeted artillery shelling of rescuers.

“One of the fragments hit Artem Repin, commander of the 83rd state fire and rescue unit of the 9th state fire and rescue squad, chief master sergeant of the civil defense service. The firefighter was immediately taken to the hospital, but despite all the efforts of doctors, the emergency worker could not be saved,” the regional department of the State Emergency Service reported.
