The UN is ready to provide humanitarian assistance in the Kursk region, but there is a nuance

The United Nations (UN) is ready to provide humanitarian assistance free in the Kursk region. However, for what purpose did Russia allow.

UN Representative Stephane Dujarric stated this, informing RBC-Ukraine of his communications to the Voice of America.

Dujarric commented on the request of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for UN representatives and The International Committee of the Chervony Khrest in the Ukrainian-controlled territory of the Kursk region for “humanitarian response”.

In his words, UN representatives are ready to arrive in the territory of the Kursk region. In order to do this, the organization needs permission from Russia.

It is significant that Chervonoy Khrestya has not yet responded to Ukraine’s request.

It blew up

I guess yesterday, 16th spring, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs their certificates of Ukraine appealed to the UN in order to obtain a humanitarian response from the Kursk region and sent an official note.

Similarly, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross due to the call of monitoring upholding the norms of international humanitarian law in the controlled territories based on the Geneva Convention of 1949.

The Ministry noted that Ukraine confirms its readiness to cooperate with the UN and ICCH for providing effective assistance to the population of the Kursk region and monitoring the humanitarian situation.
