The Ministry of Defense has approved the Ukrainian metal detector “Khortych” for use

A domestically produced metal detector detects explosive devices at a depth of more than half a meter with an error in the location of the center of the object of 5 cm.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

“The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has codified and approved for delivery to the troops a Ukrainian-made pulse metal detector. The device created by Ukrainian engineers for searching for mines and other explosive objects has been named “Khortych-1,” the statement says.

The universal metal detector was manufactured at a domestic enterprise that developed and produced similar devices for use in households and industrial areas: for detector research of soils and other surfaces for the presence of electrical and gas networks, conducting geodetic work, performing other work in the national economy, etc.

Also, since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the manufacturing enterprise voluntarily transferred all available metal detectors for use in the troops.

The enterprise's engineers constantly received feedback on the practical use of their products by the military and formed key criteria for the development of a universal army metal detector

It must be lightweight, reliable in use, inexpensive, easy to operate and repairable in the field.

The Ukrainian-made metal detector weighs just over a kilogram and detects explosive devices at a depth of more than half a meter. with an error in the location of the center of the object of 5 cm. Works at temperatures from -20 ° C to + 40 ° C and humidity up to 95%.

The device has light and sound indicators of mine detection, a full charge of a powerful lithium-ion battery ensures the operation of the metal detector for 6 hours.
