The European Parliament has adopted a resolution demanding that EU countries lift current restrictions that prevent Ukraine from using Western weapons against legitimate military targets in Russia. 425 deputies voted “for”, 131 voted “against”, and 63 abstained, Radio Liberty reports.

The resolution notes that without lifting current restrictions, Ukraine cannot fully exercise its right to self-defense and remains vulnerable to Russian attacks on its population and infrastructure.

MEPs note that insufficient supplies of ammunition and restrictions on their use could undermine the impact of the efforts made, and regret the reduction in bilateral military assistance to Ukraine from EU countries.

MEPs reiterate their call on EU countries to fulfil their commitment to supply Ukraine with one million munitions, and to speed up the supply of weapons, air defence systems and ammunition, including TAURUS missiles.

They also reaffirm their position that all EU countries and NATO allies should collectively and individually commit to annual military support for Ukraine in the amount of at least 0.25% of their GDP.

The Danube River in Budapest has burst its banks and started flooding the streets.

The corresponding photos and videos are also being distributed on social networks. They show how the water has approached the Hungarian parliament building. The peak of the flooding is expected in the capital of Hungary on the evening of September 21, said Prime Minister Viktor Orban. According to him, despite the seriousness of the situation, the Hungarian authorities have enough resources to combat the flood.

As reported, the floods in several European countries were caused by the advancing cyclone “Boris” in northern Italy. In particular, it affected Romania, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany and Moldova. At least 23 people died from the flood, thousands of people were evacuated.
