New Paris, village Masoniv and Athens. How they renamed places in Ukraine and there are no longer any such names

The Verkhovna Rada faced another attempt to vote on renaming hundreds of settlements. Among them, the list of the largest villages is that of the settlement, and also the places of Chervonograd, Lviv region, now Sheptytsky.

RBC-Ukraine is less likely to recognize which settlements have received new names.

Today, at the hour of the plenary meeting, people's organizations praised the new resolution on the renaming of 327 settlements. The document received 281 votes. People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak clarified that the resolution was praised without further discussion. Moreover, before this, the list for renaming was taken from Yuzhne, Yuzhnoukrainsk, Pavlograd, Sinelnikovo, Pervomaisk.

Before this, decisions about the renaming were reviewed by the authorities of local self-government, local authorities, and regional councils.

As Zheleznyak explained, the names of settlements will be changed, as a result of Russian and Radyanskie natives or Russified names. Let's talk about those dedicated to Moscow figures: Pushkino, Michurina, Maxim Gorky, Kutuzivka, Suvorov, Nekrasov Toscho.

Among the propositions, a lot of names are renamed, associated with the Radian saints or symbols. For example, this is Pershe Travnya, Pershotravenka, Pervomaiske, Pershotravneve, Pershotravensk, Mayivka, etc.

It is noteworthy that before this Rada failed to vote for a resolution on the renaming of 333 settlements as part of the process of decolonization and de-Russification. As a result, people's deputies blocked the podium on Wednesday.

The former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk explained that problems arose from the renaming of Yuzhny, Yuzhnoukrainsk, Sinelnikovo, Pervomaisk and Pavlograd. They were also removed from the list and praised the new resolution today. Many of these five localities are troubling around the debate. Therefore, a new draft resolution may be registered this year.
