At the same time, repeated pollution continues to move along the Seim River bed.

Improvement is recorded in the village of Chumakovo – the transparency of the water has increased, but the yellow-green tint remains, in some places – grayish. But in the villages of Mutyn and Ozarichaya, the water is cloudy, the level of chemical oxygen consumption exceeds the norm by 4.3 times. There is no dissolved oxygen.
“At the point of the city of Baturin, darkening of the water is observed, a slight specific smell, no fish death is observed. Chemical oxygen consumption exceeds the norm by 1.1 times. The oxygen regime is normal. Excess in manganese content is up to 1.3 times. Excesses in ammonium nitrogen, total iron, nitrites, phosphates and chlorides were not recorded,” the Ministry of Environment added.
Further downstream, water quality indicators have not changed over the past day, the Ministry noted. .
