Mobile air defense brigade in Kyiv region
On the night of September 24, 2024, air defense forces detected and escorted 85 enemy air attack vehicles.
According to the Air Force, Russia launched:
- one Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region,
- two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles from the airspace Bryansk region,
- one missile (type is being established) from Kursk region,
- 81 Shahed type attack UAVs from Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions.
The main direction of the attack is the north and center of Ukraine.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 66 enemy attack UAVs were shot down in Kyiv, Zhitomir, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Kirovograd, Poltava, Sumy and Nikolaev regions. The Air Force warns: if suspicious objects such as drones are detected, you must not take any action yourself. You must immediately notify law enforcement or the local military administration.
On the night of September 24, the Russian army attacked the Poltava region with drones. The debris damaged energy infrastructure, as a result of which 20 settlements were de-energized.
