Main news for Wednesday, September 25: strikes on Kramatorsk and Kherson, UN General Assembly

Military actions in Donetsk region, enemy shelling, mobilization of men 50+. How the 945th day of full-scale war will be remembered.

“Russia has destroyed our entire heat distribution and heat generation infrastructure and potentially millions of Ukrainians could be left without heat in the winter. And this is what Putin is aiming for,” he said.

Russia, according to intelligence, is preparing strikes on nuclear facilities in Ukraine to disconnect reactors from the power supply system. The enemy has satellite images of Ukrainian infrastructure.

Zelensky stressed that nuclear reactors must be protected. He said that in March this year he received a terrible report: Russian missiles were flying near a nuclear reactor in the Zaporizhia region. The Russians created another threat without thinking about the consequences.

According to the president, these were terrible minutes when no one knew whether and how the enemy would strike the nuclear reactors and whether this would lead to a catastrophe. The Zaporizhzhya NPP is still under occupation, which means it is under threat. A nuclear catastrophe there could become the largest source of radiation in Europe and, perhaps, even the world.

That is why, according to the president, his Peace Formula takes nuclear safety into account.

Venislavsky confirmed that Ukraine has a directive allowing men aged 50-60 to be mobilized only by a separate mobilization order. It is issued by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The MP noted that this is the general position of the military leadership.

Venislavsky emphasized that after 50 years, only those who have scarce military registration specialties are called up.

Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson published a letter to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in which he demands the immediate dismissal of Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova.< /p>

The Republican recalled that Ukraine had previously stated that it would not interfere in the US elections. “That goal was apparently forgotten this week when Ambassador Markarova organized an event where you visited a US weapons manufacturer,” Johnson wrote.

He noted that the plant is located in the “shakedown state of Pennsylvania,” where Zelensky met with Harris supporter, Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro. However, the Republicans were not represented during the visit, allegedly because they were “not specifically invited.”

Thus, Johnson believes, the visit was part of a political campaign to help the Democrats and is clearly interference in the elections. Because of this, according to the Speaker of the House, the Republican Party has lost confidence in Markarova.
