“Within the framework of the initiative, each Northern European country has the opportunity to train and arm a Ukrainian battalion. This proposal was discussed during the recent visit of Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Balanutsi to Norway,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The Deputy Minister also took part in a seminar of the Northern Defense Industry, where he called on the arms directors of Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Finland and Sweden to bilateral cooperation and investment in the Ukrainian defense industry.
