How it comes out information on the website, the project will be submitted for review in 1 month. If we confirm it, then the decision about new prices will be valid exactly for a month – for 1 leaf fall.
The document suggests that the basis for revising boundary prices (“price caps”) is the evidence of daily fluctuations in electricity prices on the “forward” market, the domestic supply market and/or the balancing market. Based on the market operator's and Ukrenergo's investments, such situational fluctuations are observed in all three markets.
Currently, with the situation being resolved through the war, there are few problems associated with the work of energy and galusi. Following impacts on critical infrastructure and rapid generation of vinyl, there is a need to increase liquidity in the market so that generating companies can save money for repairs and renewals.
To balance the energy system, it is necessary to increase imports, which, in turn, influences the level of prices on the price level on the electricity markets in Ukraine. This is to allow the viability of commercial imports.
With monitoring, in most different periods of establishment, the level of boundary prices will ensure import parity. At the same time, the border prices on the market in Ukraine in certain periods are lower than the actual prices on the markets of neighboring countries.
In connection with this, a project has been prepared to revise the “price caps”. Once accepted, market participants can submit their feedback and proposals.
How to want to raise business prices
In the market “for the goods in advance” and in the domestic commodity market, the limit prices are moving between 11:00 and 17:00. If at one time 1 MW-year costs 5600 UAH, then it is proposed to raise it to 6900 UAH, bringing the price up to the market peak.
The proposal looks like this:
- from 00:00 to 07 :00 – 5600 UAH/MW-year (time – 5600 UAH/MW-year)
- from 07:00 to 17:00 – 6900 UAH/MW-year (time from 07:00 to 11: 00 – 6900 UAH/MW-year; from 11:00 to 17:00 – 5600 UAH/MW-year)
- from 17:00 to 23:00 – 9000 UAH/MW-year (at a time 9,000 UAH/MW-year)
- from 23:00 to 24:00 – 6900 UAH/MW-year (in total 6900 UAH/MW-year)
The minimum limit price is reduced to 10 UAH/MW-year.
On the balancing market, the maximum boundary prices do not change:
- from 00:00 to 07:00 – 6600 UAH/MW-year (at a time 6600 UAH/MW-year)
- from 07:00 to 17:00 – 8250 UAH/MW-year (in total 8250 UAH/MW-year)
- from 17:00 to 23:00 – 10,000 UAH/MW-year (at a time 10,000 UAH/MW-year)
- from 23:00 to 24 :00 – 8250 UAH/MW-year (at a time 8250 UAH/MW-year)
The minimum limit price is set at 0.01 UAH/MW-year.
In addition, the National Commission is required to further revise the limit prices for business to ensure the the so-called “imported PSO”. The decision is to praise the Cabinet of Ministers.
Significantly, up to this point, the price of electricity for business increased by 1 ruble.
It seems likely that from 1 ruble in 2024 tariffs for Vitlo for everyday workers – from 2.64 to 4.32 UAH per kW-year, then by 60%. This price is valid at least until April 1, 2025.
The decision was praised after Russia's spring strikes on energy projects. Since then, the situation in the power system was close to critical, and in the spring it was necessary to turn to the light switching schedule. In addition to the price increase, they explained the need for additional funds for repairs in order to prepare for the burning season.
