SBU Detains Energoatom Top Manager Skopich While Receiving Bribe

The company confirmed the detention of its employee.

This was reported by the co-founder of the project “Our Money” Yuri Nikolov and “Ekonomicheskaya Pravda” with reference to sources.

According to Nikolov, Skopich was detained near the office of the company from which he demanded a bribe of 100 thousand hryvnia.

According to EP sources, Skopich demanded a bribe for resolving the issue with fuel supplies.

Later, Energoatom confirmed the detention of one of its employees, without giving his last name.

“Thanks to the coordinated work of law enforcement officers and the active participation of Energoatom representatives, one of the Company’s employees was detained while receiving an illegal benefit. The detainee helped resolve the issue in another company thanks to his connections and acted as an intermediary between the contractor and the other company,” Energoatom said in a statement.

The company noted that investigative actions are ongoing. Energoatom stated that it will continue to assist investigators in conducting a prompt and impartial investigation.

Energoatom is the operator of four operating nuclear power plants in Ukraine.
