The paramilitary Islamic organization and the Hezbollah party have removed a new leader for revenge of Hassan Nasralli, who recently died as a result of the airstrike on the capital Lebanon. Hashim Safi ad-Din became the General Secretary of the group.

What is known about Safi ad-Din
He is the cousin of Nasralli and the son-in-law of the former commander of the Iranian QDS forces, Qassem Soleimani. Thus, Arabic reports indicate that Safi ad-Din was considered the most likely candidate to succeed Nasralli.
Hashim Safi ad-Din was born in 1964 in the town of Deir Kanun an-Nakhr on the day of Lebanon. Like Nasrallah, he came to light in Najafi and Qom, and in 1982 he became one of the founders of Hezbollah.
