Pavel Chaika went through heavy fighting near Zelenopolye, defended the Donetsk airport, and took part in the battles on the Debaltseve bridgehead.

“We lost not just We have lost a war hero, a defender of the Donetsk airport, a sincere patriot of Ukraine, a courageous defender of his land, who was the third to become a full Cavalier of the Order “For Courage” during the ATO and during the times of independent Ukraine, the statement says.
Pavlo Chaika was also one of twenty ATO participants awarded the Order “People's Hero of Ukraine”.

Pavlo Chaika's burial will take place on October 2. You can say goodbye to the soldier at 12:00 in his parents' house in Rozhyshche. He will be buried on the Alley of Glory of the city cemetery.
Pavlo Chaika was born on June 24, 1988 in Rozhyshche in a family of doctors. At the age of 15, he was already studying at the Volyn Regional Military Lyceum, after graduation he entered the law faculty of the University named after Lesi Ukrainka.
