The favorite destinations for violators are Moldova and Romania.
Representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko announced on the air of the telethon “Edinye Novosti” about a decrease in the number of attempts by citizens to illegally cross the border. According to Ukrinform, a similar trend has been observed since August.
According to Demchenko, violators mainly try to cross the border outside checkpoints. However, there are also cases of using official routes. To do this, citizens forge documents, hide in vehicles, or “look for other fictitious moments.”
The most popular “destinations” for violators are Moldova and Romania: it is on the border with these countries that the vast majority of cases of illegal crossing are recorded.
