In Kyiv, a 27-year-old man is suspected of deliberately killing an acquaintance for the sake of her Toyota Prado

In Kiev, a 27-year-old man is suspected of intentionally killing an acquaintance for her Toyota Prado, the Kiev City Prosecutor's Office reports. </p> <p>According to the investigation, at the end of September, a 27-year-old acquaintance of the 51-year-old owner of an apartment in the Desnyansky district came to her. The woman had known the man for some time and sometimes helped him with money. That evening, the acquaintance stayed in her apartment overnight. After the woman stopped answering her phone calls, her relatives found her strangled in the bedroom. In addition, the murdered woman's SUV had disappeared.</p> <p>Law enforcement officers established that around midnight, the young man took a rope and strangled the woman, after which he took her Toyota Prado.</p> <p>Later, in order not to arouse suspicion, the man changed into camouflage military clothing, repainted the stolen SUV green, removed the license plates and drove home to Chernihiv region, where he was found. The young man does not explain any motives for his actions.</p> <p>Under the procedural guidance of the Desnyansky District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Kyiv, a 27-year-old resident of the Chernihiv region was notified of suspicion of committing a premeditated murder of a woman for mercenary motives and illegal seizure of her car, combined with violence dangerous to the life of the victim (clause 6, part 2, article 115, part 3, article 289 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).</p> <p>The man was chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention without an alternative to bail.</p> <p>The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years or life imprisonment.</p> <p><iframe src=
