The military will be able to determine which family member will receive funds in the event of their disappearance or capture.

Previously, this was regulated by law: the right to payments was first given to the wife or husband, second to the children, and third to the parents, brothers, and sisters.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law that will pay funds in the event of his disappearance or capture.

This was announced by People's Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko. 301 deputies voted “for”.

Previously, the list of people who would receive funds in the event of a military man's capture or disappearance was regulated by law. First, the funds had to be paid to the military man's wife or husband, and in their absence, to the children and their guardians. If there were none, then to the parents, brothers, and sisters in equal parts.

In order to determine the recipient of the funds, the military man must sign the appropriate document.
