​The Ministry of Infrastructure signed memorandums with 17 companies on the employment of long-haul female drivers

A pilot project to train truck drivers is currently being implemented in 4 cities.

IllustrationThe largest Ukrainian companies are joining the project for training and employment of female drivers, initiated by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development. In particular, 24 companies expressed their willingness to be partners of the project, 17 of which have already signed memorandums of cooperation.

This was reported by the Government Portal.

The following companies have expressed their willingness to become partners in the project: Volvo Trucks, Metro Cash&Carry, Fozzy Group, Novus, Kronospan Rivne LLC, Negabarit-Service LLC, Trans-Logistics LLC, ATP-2004 (Kernel), GruzService LLC (Heavenly Well), BALK-TRANS, Novus, Ukrposhta JSC, B2V Logistics LLC, Rio-Trans PE, MHP PJSC, Eridon LLC, VITAGRO, Agrarian System Technologies LLC.< /p>

Ministry of Society: the shortage of drivers in the logistics sector has reached 25%, in passenger transportation in cities – up to 30%

In accordance with the Memorandum, the Institutional Development Fund, which is implementing the project, will provide training for women to obtain category C or SE driver's licenses, taking into account the requirements market and current legislation. After completing the training, partner companies will consider graduates' candidacies for open positions.< /p>

The memorandum has become another important step towards integrating women into the logistics and transportation sector, as well as a political signal of Ukraine's readiness to implement modern, inclusive and progressive policies.
