Journalists learned that Shaikhet uses a service car and operational license plates to go to the gym and lives in his father's $1 million apartment.

The National Police has ordered an official investigation into the head of the Migration Police, Serhiy Shaikhet.
This was reported by the Communications Department of the NPU.
“An official investigation has been ordered into the information published in one of the online publications regarding the head of the Migration Police Department, Serhiy Shaikhet. Based on its results, appropriate decisions will be made,” the NPU said.
Before this, Bihus.Info journalists noted that Shaikhet spends about three hours in the sports complex several times a week during the working day. He arrives there in a service car with operational license plates, which, according to the law, law enforcement officers must use during operational work.
Journalists also regularly spotted Shaikhet in the same official car entering and exiting one of the most expensive residential complexes in Kyiv. Shaikhet does not own any real estate in this complex. His father, Oleg Shaikhet, owns an apartment and a parking space there. Shaikhet Sr. purchased the apartment back in 2020. Currently, similar apartments in this residential complex cost from $ 1 million.

In the fall of 2023, Shaikhet received the rank of police general and headed the Migration Police Department of the National Police.
