Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will purchase ammunition from the United States for billions of dollars

The US Department of State has given the green light to defense contracts with Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The amount is expected to reach billions of dollars.

RBC-Ukraine reports about this from a post on the website of the Office of Military Intelligence of the US Department of Defense.

The State has praised the powerful sales of Saudi Arabia ї 2503 anti-tank missiles with active homing heads AGM-114R3 Hellfire II, which is used by the AH-64A/D/E Apache helicopters.

The contract is worth 655 million dollars, and the company is Lockheed Martin.

Also The United States praised the contract for the supply of 220 AIM-9X Block 3 aircraft missiles for the F-15 aircraft. The amount is 251 million dollars, and the agreement will be concluded by Raytheon.

Saudi Arabia will also purchase from the United States 105-mm cumulative tank shells M456, which are used by M60A3 tanks, and other ammunition. The total cost of this supply is 139 million dollars.

The US Department of Defense also reported sales of ATACMS missiles and GMLRS projectiles, as well as related systems, to the United Arab Emirates for a total of 1.2 billion dollars.

It seems that previously the United States allowed the sale to Germany of approximately 600 missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.

It was also reported that Romania and Norway would purchase from the United States the AIM-120 “back-and-forth” missile hundreds of millions of dollars.
