This proposal was made by the Crimean Gauleiter Aksyonov.
Crimean Gauleiter Sergei Aksyonov calls those territories of Ukraine “historical regions”.
This is reported by the Center for National Resistance.
Aksenov claims that these lands allegedly always belonged to Russia, since these are the territories of the Russian Empire and the USSR, therefore, they cannot be called “new”.
The Center for National Resistance emphasized that such rhetoric of the occupation administration is another attempt to justify the annexation of Ukrainian lands. The Russians are also trying to erase the Ukrainian historical and cultural heritage.
