Resolution to lift restrictions on strikes against Russia submitted to French parliament

A Democratic MP wants to allow Ukraine to use long-range weapons properly.

The French parliament, the National Assembly of France, has lifted restrictions on the use of long-range weapons provided to Ukraine.

The registration of the corresponding document was reported on the X network by its author, MP from the Centrist bloc Frederic Petit, representing the Democratic Movement.

According to the MP, the idea of the resolution is cross-party and is related to the fact that France “must demonstrate solidarity with Ukraine through concrete actions at a time when North Korea is sending its soldiers to fight side by side with the Russians, and the Kremlin's allies are increasing their support.”

Petit also appeals to the fact that “Ukrainians are counting on France and are not asking for miracles or for us to be stronger than we are.” The MP emphasizes that the weapons will only be used against military facilities in order to “change the balance of power on the ground.”
