Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky held a “constructive and fruitful” meeting with US Secretary of Defense Mr. Lloyd Austin.
Syrsky reported this on Facebook.
He said that he informed the head of the Pentagon about the strategic situation at the front and the specifics of the development of the operational situation in the most difficult areas of action of the Ukrainian troops.
“During the conversation, I noted the importance of systematic and uninterrupted support of the Ukrainian Defense Forces with weapons and military equipment from allies, primarily the United States. In this context, I once again emphasized the need to achieve, if not an advantage, then at least parity with the enemy in the range of basic types of military equipment and ammunition,” Syrsky noted.
The interlocutors also discussed in detail the use of individual weapons, strengthening air defense capabilities and a number of other issues that will have an effect on the front in the future.
Syrsky thanked Head of State Austin for his clear and consistent position on supporting Ukraine and his personal contribution to the launch and organization of the Rammstein meetings.
