Drones Violate Romanian Airspace Again: Unable to Shoot Them Down

This is the third such incident in less than a week.

Romanian F16 Falcons were objects that were most likely Russian drones.

According to Reuters, two unfamiliar signals appeared on the country's air defense radars about an hour apart. They were found in the counties of Constanta and Tulcea – the latter borders Ukraine along the Danube.

F-16 aircraft were raised into the sky to visualize the objects, but none of the pilots managed to spot even one of the targets before they both disappeared from the radar.

Last time, in a similar scenario, the military failed to find the crash sites of the drones, which is why the government announced a possible cyberattack on air defense detection systems. In total, three cases of hostile UAVs entering Romanian airspace have been recorded in the last week alone.
