Instead of Roman Gladky, the headquarters was headed by the former commander of the 28th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Oleksiy Khalabuda
Roman Gladky is already the command of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports “Ukrainska Pravda”.
Gladky was transferred to the reserve battalion.
“Based on the results of the investigation conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine, it was established that Roman Gladkyi's further tenure as Chief of Staff of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is impossible. In this regard, on October 14, 2024, he was dismissed from his post and transferred to the post of reserve officer of the reserve battalion,” the Ministry of Defense commented.
Now the headquarters is headed by Colonel Oleksiy Khalabuda, who previously served as commander of the 28th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- Gladkiy was appointed to the Unmanned Systems Forces in August of this year. In 2018, he was dismissed from the post of Chief of Staff – First Deputy Commander of the Naval Forces for improper performance of official duties.
- According to Deep State, the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Vadim Sukharevsky was not involved in Gladkiy's appointment. He was against it and does not have the authority to make the appointment.
- In addition to being dismissed for improper performance, Gladkiy has a wife with a Russian passport, who lived in Crimea after the occupation began. In addition, according to analysts, the military man's daughter took part in sports competitions in Sevastopol under the Russian flag – this information is available on her social networks.
- Gladkiy was also involved in a case of treason and corruption.
< li>The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Gladkiy “has the appropriate education and significant experience”, and also passed “all necessary checks by the Security Service of Ukraine during 2018-2019, has access to work with highly classified information”.
< li>In September, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky decided to conduct an additional special check of the captain by the SBU bodies.
