Ukraine is moving ahead of France with the updated Mirage 2000-5F. The aircraft will become a replacement for the Su-24 bombers.
Aviation expert Valery Romanenko speaks about this process in a commentary on the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel.
According to Romanenko, Mirage 2000-5F is the culprit, however, there was already information about those aircraft that are overpowered by SCALP missiles. The training of Ukrainian pilots is not ongoing at the Cognac base; the Vinishchuvach base has been dismantled, but near Nancy, where there is a bomber base.
“This is a variant of the Mirage 2000D – carrying the winged SCALP missiles. Rather than all of this, the squadron, which bears the greatest combat evidence… The main meta-option is a backup option, which will end in us… according to Starokostyantinov there is no every time, where our Su-24s are based,” the expert added.
< p>At the same time, half of the troops could be transported behind the cordon, for example, in Poland, Romania or Slovakia. The other part is directly adjacent to the Ukrainian territory.
“Three flights have been fired, but unofficially. This may be stored in the bomber and vinichuvalny field. The vinishchevalny tank has 4 flights, in the bombardment – 3… Plans were voiced for the transfer to us of a full-fledged squadron with 12 flights c,” explained Romanenko.
Mirage 2000
On the cob, French President Emmanuel Macron announced plans to transfer the Mirage 2000 to Ukraine as part of the military aid package. This initiative became part of the support of the advancing countries of the Ukrainian army for the war.
Information recently appeared that France will transfer modernized military equipment to Ukraine Mirage 2000, which will be equipped with new equipment before delivery. It is expected that these flights will be ready before delivery in the first half of 2025. Modernization will allow us to increase its combat effectiveness, which can significantly improve the defense capacity of Ukraine.
