Sociologists have shown how the Ukrainians' support for joining the EU and NATO has changed since the beginning of the war

Support for joining the EU and NATO was important among Ukrainians even before the war. The infection is still growing, and more people are asking to come to the referendum on their food.

RBC-Ukraine informs about this from the data sent to the Razumkov Center.

Enter before the EU

As soon as possible referendum on Ukraine's entry into the European Union, 81% of the population would suffer the same fate. Before the outbreak of a full-scale war – in the fall of 2021 – 69% of respondents declared their intention to take part in such a referendum.

88% of those who intend to take part in such a referendum (against – 8%) voted for entry, and 78% and 18% voted for the fall of the year 2021.

Joining NATO

As soon as there is a referendum, Ukraine will definitely join NATO, they would take the same fate 82 % nutrition In November 2021, 67% of respondents said that they would take part in such a referendum.

86% of those who intend to take part in such a referendum voted for entry (against – 10%), in November 2021 – almost 70% and 24.5%.

The survey was conducted by the Razumkov Center from 20 to 26 spring 2024 using the face-to-face method in all regions of Ukraine, due to the time-consuming recuperation territories where military operations take place. 2016 respondents were recruited, the theoretical loss of choice does not exceed 2.3%.

Guess what, by the beginning of 2024 the absolute majority of Ukrainians (84.3%) ) encourage entry to EC. At the moment, optimism has dropped slightly.

According to the data from the Razumkov Center, almost half believe that Ukraine will become a member of the EU within five years. Zokrem, 23.3% said that entry would take 1-3 years (for the 2023 year, 35.5% thought so much), and 27.1% said it would take 3-5 years (for the 2023 year – 23.3 %). In addition, 15% believe that Ukraine will become a member of the EU in 5-10 years, another 5% – in 10-20 years.
