7 Kyiv residents have been convicted of evading mobilization since the beginning of the year

Another 19 indictments have already been sent to court.

The Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv spoke about the punishments for residents of the capital who evaded conscription for military service during mobilization.

Since the beginning of 2024, seven Kyiv residents have been convicted of violating Articles 336 and 337 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The police give two examples: a man from the Solomensky district received four years in prison, and a conscript from Obolon will spend 5 years behind bars.

19 indictments have already been submitted to the courts, and sentences are expected. 51 people have been notified of suspicion.

The police remind that evading mobilization provides for a punishment of 3 to 5 years of imprisonment. At the same time, the convicted person is subject to further conscription, since he is not removed from the register.
