“Most attempts to illegally cross the border are recorded along the green section of the border, outside the checkpoints. “This is still the direction of the border with Romania and Moldova,” Demchenko said.
He added that in recent months there has been a decrease in the number of people wishing to illegally cross the border.
“The weather conditions that await us during the autumn and winter periods will contribute to the fact that the number of violators will decrease,” the representative of the State Tax Service of Ukraine said.
He also added that there are currently no queues at border checkpoints.
“Only at certain hours before the weekend can there be an accumulation of several dozen vehicles at individual checkpoints,” Demchenko noted.
