In Kharkov, a woman offered cleaning services to Ukrainian soldiers to scout out their positions, – SBU

The enemy's task was carried out by a 63-year-old local unemployed woman.

The Security Service detained a female agent of the Russian military intelligence in Kharkov who was preparing a new series of missile and bomb strikes on the city. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.

The enemy's task was carried out by a 63-year-old local unemployed woman who was in direct contact with a career employee of the Russian special service. His identity has already been established by SBU counterintelligence officers.

On the instructions of the Russian GRU, the woman was reconnoitering coordinates for the fire strike on units of the Defense Forces involved in the fighting in the Kharkov direction. To collect intelligence, the agent tried to “gain the trust” of the Ukrainian defenders, maintaining “heart-to-heart” conversations with them.

She also offered to help the military with everyday issues for a symbolic fee, in particular cleaning temporary housing. The traitor sent the information she received to her Russian handler in the form of screenshots with potential targets marked on Google maps.

Another spotter was detained in Kharkov. He was recruited in Russia, where he fled after the war began

SBU counterintelligence officers exposed the agent in advance and, after documenting her criminal actions, detained her red-handed when she was conducting additional reconnaissance near a military facility. The detainee's mobile phone, which she used to communicate with the Russian GRU, was confiscated.

Security Service investigators informed her of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). The offender is in custody. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
