Veterans and persons with disabilities will be involved in cleaning and demining territories.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

According to the department, the UN is implementing a program to employ people with disabilities, including war veterans, in Ukraine. As part of this project, the first four Ukrainians who suffered from explosive ordnance received jobs at the international organization The HALO Trust.

“They will analyze satellite and UAV images to detect and map mine-contaminated areas. The Ukrainians received job offers a month after completing the relevant course involving people with disabilities in mine action,” the ministry added.
