SBU reports suspicion to three Ukrainians who fought against Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kursk region

According to the case materials, the defendants were part of the 810th separate marine brigade of the Russian Federation. In August and September of this year, they fired at Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the Sudzha area.

They were taken prisoner along with other surviving occupiers after assault units of the Ukrainian troops, with the support of artillery, utterly routed an enemy column near the city.

Among those detained is a traitor from Crimea, who in November 2022 was “mobilized” into the occupation groups of the Southern Military District of the aggressor country. He fled to Russia, and in one of the Moscow military registration and enlistment offices signed a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry. “enlisted” in the ranks of the occupiers.

SBU investigators informed the detainees of their suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). The perpetrators are in custody. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The investigation was conducted by SBU officers in Sumy Oblast under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
