Orban suddenly started talking about the heroism of Ukrainians and their right to continue fighting

An unusual statement for the Hungarian prime minister.

During his trip to Kyiv after the start of Hungary's presidency of the Council of the European Union, the prime minister allegedly “only explained to President Zelensky that time was not on its side,” while Orban himself “was ready to help create a kind of truce.” However, as the official complains, “he was rejected.”

“Ukrainians deserve a better future than the one they are facing now,” Orban summed up in a more familiar vein, consistent with Kremlin propaganda.
