Lubinets: Ukraine returned 1002 children from Russia and TOT

However, there are still about 20 thousand Ukrainian children there.

Dmitry Ukraine was able to return 1,002 children from the territory of the Russian Federation and temporarily occupied territories.

This was stated by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets, Radio Liberty reports.

“First of all, our international partners are helping us. I am very pleased that the main partner on the issue of returning Ukrainian children is Qatar… They help us a lot. As a result, you see that the number of Ukrainian children we have returned from the Russian Federation, as well as the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, is constantly increasing,” said Dmitry Lubinets.

He emphasized that Russia forcibly relocated 19,546 children. However, the real figure is much higher and that it will continue to grow.

Lubinets emphasized that the occupiers do not provide any information about Ukrainian children and “delay the process of their return as much as possible.”

“One and a half million Ukrainian children live in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. How many of them have the Russians already deported? We can only guess… Alleya is convinced that the number of children deported by the Russian Federation will grow,” the ombudsman noted.
