Shevchenko is inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame: the list is available to the Ukrainian

President of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Shevchenko has retired of his merits to the number of inductions at the Italian Football Federation Hall of Fame.

RBC-Ukraine informs about this via submission to the official website of the Italian Football Federation.

Ukrainian has re-incorporated the company legendary foreigners Museo del Calcio. We have withdrawn our recognition within the framework of the 12th edition of honored persons of Italian football.

Shevchenko was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the category “Foreign Footballer”. At the front there were Platinum, van Basten, Batistuta, Maradona, Ronaldo, Falcao, Gullit, Zanetti, Boniek, Rummenigge and Zidane. For this reason, the functionary voiced a short proclamation.

“Love Milan, the one that trusted me. From the first day I felt like a member of the family. Together we won richly, and I got to know incredible people from the homeland of Berlusconi, Adriano Galliani, Ariedo Braido, the birthplace of Maldina. To be inducted into the Hall of Fame of Italian football is a great privilege, and for this I am grateful to my partners at Milan, to the care and to the patients,” Shevchenko said.

The Ukrainian moved to the San Siro in 1999 for 25 million dollars. In his debut season, he became the highest scorer in Serie A, scoring 24 goals.

The Rossoneri won their first trophies in the 2002/03 season. “Milan” under the leadership of Carlo Ancelotti won the Italian Cup and triumphed against Liza champions. This season, Shevchenko’s team won the UEFA Super Cup, and also won the Scudetto. The Ukrainian striker suddenly became the biggest goalscorer in the Italian championship in his career.

Shevchenko celebrated the successful 2003/04 season by winning the Golden Ball. Before the 2006/07 campaign, he moved to London's Chelsea, and then in the 2008/09 season he turned to Milan on loan. He has played 322 matches for the Rossoneri in all tournaments, scoring 175 goals.
