Biden and Trump discussed Ukraine during White House meeting

However, the Republican focused more on his position on the Middle East.

Donald Trump and Joe Biden at the White House closed the closed part of the meeting between the current US President Joe Biden and the winner of the election Donald Trump, which lasted about two hours.

According to Reuters, the spokesperson for the administration, Karine Jean-Pierre, said that the two heads of state “discussed important national security and domestic policy issues affecting Americans and the world.”

According to presidential adviser Jack Sullivan, Biden explained to Trump that “support for Ukraine is in the national interests of the United States because a stable and strong Europe will prevent the United States from being drawn into war.”

However, Trump himself, during the meeting, apparently focused more on another war. After visiting the White House, he told the press that he devoted a considerable part of the conversation with Biden to the confrontation in the Middle East and “wanted to understand what our positions are.”
