Kharkiv police suspect ex-employees of getting disability for money

Police suspect a former employee of the RTC and the SP of the Kharkiv region of promising to influence officials of the Medical and Social Expertise Commission so that they would establish a disability for a man of draft age.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region.

“The attacker promised to “resolve the issue” with establishing a disability group for a man of draft age. The cost of the service is 15 thousand US dollars. For this money, he was supposed to influence the decision of the Medical and Social Expertise Commission,” the report says.

The 54-year-old Kharkiv resident was detained while handing over money. He was informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 369-2 (abuse of influence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

During the searches, law enforcement officers seized 15 thousand dollars, medical records, and mobile phones. The detainee faces up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.
